welcome to the west ottawa hornets 2025-26 team tryouts!
Welcome to the West Ottawa Hornets 2025-26 basketball tryouts! We are excited to see the talent and dedication that each player brings to the court!
In order to participate in the tryouts, all players must be registered online prior to the start of the first tryout. There is a $25.00 non-refundable tryout fee required at the time of registration.
- Please be sure to arrive at the gym at least 15 minutes before the tryout begins to check in and warm up.
- Players are required to bring their own basketball and water bottle to the tryouts.
- Each player will be guaranteed at least 2 tryouts. Players will participate in Tryout #1 and Tryout #2. This will give our coaching staff ample opportunity to evaluate each player and make informed decisions when selecting the final roster. The 3rd tryout, if necessary, will be by invitation only.
- Please note that tryout registration will close at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the first tryout. Registration will then reopen after the first tryout and close again at 12:00 p.m. before the second tryout.
- West Ottawa has access to the GYMS ONLY with our permits so parents are required to drop their player(s) off to the tryouts at the door to the school and pick them up afterwards. Due to the number of participants and Coaches in the gyms during the tryouts, parents will not be allowed in the gyms with the exception of our U10 division where parents are permitted to stay in the gym for the first 15 minutes of the tryout.
