West Ottawa Rolls Out Concussion Safety Platform

West Ottawa Basketball Association is proud to announce that we are taking a leadership role in player safety.
We’ve recently adopted CAPT, a concussion management platform that will allow our Coaches, our members and our Association to react faster and more effectively to concussions and take the uncertainty and complexity out of the management. CAPT is positioned to enhance athlete safety by:
 

1. Providing quick and easy access to our concussion protocol in the event of a suspected concussion, allowing for instant incident documentation and real-time information capture.
2. Simplifying communication through the transparent tracking of recovery progress and timely push notifications for any changes or updates while maintaining the highest privacy standards.
3. Harnessing the power of concussion data insights to elevate our practices, policies, and protocols to the highest standards.
4. Empowering our athletes and their guardians by granting them a firsthand view of their recovery progress, instilling a sense of control.
